Carbonado (AUS) 4yo bay gelding (Lonhro x Luxadora) MRA F328.

Carbonado arrived in Malaysia in June 2011 after winning twice in Australia over 1300m on the Polytrack at Geelong. The horse raced in Australia as Affluence and came to the MRA with a record of 12 starts - 2 wins, 2 seconds and 2 thirds and A$27,475 in prize money.

The name Affluence had been recently used in Malaysia and was unavailable.

Owner Graeme Carey suggested Carbonado, which is a Black Diamond and follows through the family diamond theme with Great Grand Dam Eight Carat, Grand sire Octagonal (a classic diamond cut) and Lonrho (a well known diamond miner although with slightly different spelling).

Carbonado had  a single run in Malaysia for Richard Lines before transferring to Singapore.

Carbonado is owned by the Arexevan-Affluence Stable of Arexevan racing, Graeme Carey, Mark Chadwick, Louis Liew, Anthony Sinclair, Boyd Tindale and Robert Sim.

Carbonado is trained by Steven Burridge.
