HINT

HINT (Aus) 6yo Chestnut Gelding (Reset x Suggestive) MRA Y435

Hint arrived in Singapore on the 23rd May, 2009 and was a winner over 2000 metres as a three year old colt in Australia.

The horse is exceptionally well bred with Hint being part of Reset's first crop of foals and dam Suggestive being an outstanding producer.

Suggestive has produced two individual group race winners in Sky Love and Sky Cuddle. Sky Cuddle was a winner of the Group 1, The Emirates at Flemington. Younger brother Undeniably is a Group Race performer having run 2nd in the Group 2 Australia Stakes at Moonee Valley whilst youngest raced brother  Highly Recommended won his first race at Caulfield in April of 2011.

Hint commenced racing in Malaysia in November 2009 under the care of Richard Lines. His debut run after an eight month layoff resulted in a second placing at Kuala Lumpur over 1400m.

At the horses third run he was able to break through for a win at Perak in January 2010 when partnered by Oscar Chavez in a Banded 48-58 mile.

Hint returned to Steven Burridge in Singapore and was gelded in June 2010 after his coltishness lead to a few inconsistent performances. The gelding operation seemed to do the trick with some good performances soon following.

By September 2010 Hint was able to get his first win in Singapore in a 1800 metre Class 4 (Turf) Handicap with Oscar Chavez again the winning rider.

Some 6 weeks later in November 2010 a further win followed over 2200m on a yielding track when ridden by Danny Beasley.

A new preparation started on the 17th April, 2011 that yielded three wins, three seconds and a third from eight starts.

Vlad Duric got the ball rolling when scoring first up over 1600m in a Class 4 handicap on the turf.

Only a week later the horse with Vlad Duric again in the saddle were able to step up in grade and win a $75,000 Open Benchmark 74 handicap over 2000 metres.

After a series of impressive runs in high class races, Hint was able to round off his preparation with a win in an Open Benchmark 89 handicap again over 2000m with V.Sivan having the winning ride.

After a short freshen up, Hint was able to reproduce his previous first up effort over a mile when again successful on the 25th September, 2011 when handled by Singapore's leading apprentice Shafiq Rusof.

Hint stepped up to Group 1 company when his consistency earned him a run in the 2011 Longines Singapore Gold Cup 2200m. On a rain affected track, Hint ran a super race to finish fourth behind El Dorado beaten 2.8 lengths.

After an unplaced run in the 2011 Penang Gold Cup 2200m, Hint has gone for a well earned spell.
