Thrilla In Manila (Aus) 6yo chestnut gelding (Shovhog x Endama) MRA U460

Thrilla In Manila started his racing career on 2009 Singapore Airlines International Cup Day and was placed as a three year old at his second start.

As a four year old the gelding was able to break his Maiden status in December 2009 when he lead all the way in a 1000 metre Class 5 Handicap with Irish rider Fran Berry in the saddle.

In May, 2010 the horse was able to record a second win in convincing fashion over 1100 metres on the Polytrack in a Class 4 handicap. He quickly followed up with another win to celebrate his 5th birthday in the same class and distance. Both these wins were achieved with the help of champion Brazilian rider Joao Moreira.

The horse has always had great gate speed but as he gets older he has matured as a racehorse and is now able to take a sit behind the speed and work home well over slightly longer trips.

This fact was borne out in September 2011 when the horse was able to lead all the way and win for the first time on turf and win for the first time over 1200 metres. Joao Moreira was on-board for his third win on the horse
